Outreach
Outreach has been a hallmark of the St. Mark's community since the 1980's. Current projects include:
- Community Meals. In January 2007, we began offering family-style community meals on the last Sunday evening of the month, from 4:30-6:30 pm. Parishes around the area are also participating.
- Prostitution Roundtable Lunches. In 2006, St. Mark's provided monthly luncheons and meeting space for people who are interested in addressing the prostitution problem in Toledo and Lucas County. These monthly meetings drew over 70 people from many areas: social work, law enforcement, child welfare groups, academia, and more. These lunches continued quarterly in 2007.
- FOCUS. We continue to support specific FOCUS projects, such as the Angel Tree and other support for their clients. Rev. Kelly O'Connell serves on the FOCUS Board of Directors.
