We are committed to worship that is grounded in the Episcopal tradition, yet is progressive, gender-inclusive, accessible to non-Episcopalians and Episcopalians alike, and relevant to contemporary life.

To that end, we:

  • Use eucharistic prayers from supplemental liturgical materials

  • Use other prayers from a wide variety of sources including the New Zealand Prayer Book

  • Use gender-inclusive Bible translations

  • Use a variety of music for congregational singing, choral anthems, and instrumentals

  • Use worship booklet, making worship more accessible to newcomers

  • Offer regular opportunities for alternative worship, such as Taizé services

Sunday Services

Our primary services are held in the Sanctuary on Sunday mornings, at 8:00 am and 10:30 am.

8:00 am: our intimate, quiet, contemplative service

10:30 am: our larger service, with music, singing, and special worship for the children; nursery care is available

Special Services

We mark the turning of the liturgical year with special services: Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, All Saints, and more. These services help us tell and re-tell the story of our faith. Each cycle brings us deeper into God. For a list of current special services, see the home page or the current newsletter.

Rites of Passage

At St. Mark's, we understand the need to mark the cycles of our lives. Some of our many special services include the thanksgiving for the birth or adoption of a child, baptism, confirmation, reception into the Episcopal Church, weddings, unions, and funerals.
